Man to Man

The work of salvation that Jesus Christ came to the earth for was twofold: to reconcile man to man and man to God. The result of the estrangement caused by the original sin of Adam and Eve was not only the separation and curse from God, it also led to Adam hating and separating from his wife momentarily; absolving himself from guilt; accusing the woman and God for masterminding his fall. The man said, “…I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself (leaving his wife alone to face God’s wrath).”

“…The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.” Genesis 3:10, 12. Thenceforth, men are angry towards men and to make them feel better, they project their pains on others and become toxic one to another.

Jesus told Peter, “…Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” Matthew 26:52. The connotation in this Jesus’ word to Peter was that men should not be cruel to other men, rather, men should live in peace (John 14:27) and love their neighbours as themselves to fulfil the greatest commandment (Matthew22:37-39).

Man to God

God’s original purpose was to create the earth that is beautiful, devoid of evil; to bring Him pleasure (Revelation 4:11).

But the seemly human insatiable tendency and their abuse of volition muddled God’s plan, change human course which agglomerated in serious earth endangerment. This brought about the rift between Man and his Creator.

The mission of Christ therefore, was to reconcile man to his Creator through His death on the cross and to restore the earth to the purpose of its existence.

“…and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.” (Ephesians 2:16)

Old Path of Practical Christianity

The Old Path of practical Christianity is a term used to describe the traditional and authentic way of living out the Christian faith as it was practiced in the early Church. This path emphasizes a deep personal relationship with God, a commitment to following His word, and a desire to live a life of service to others.

In Jeremiah 6:16, God said, “…Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls…” The old paths are the ways of eternity; the way that will leads to eternal life.

In the RMCC, we are committed to our mission: to reconcile man to man; man to God and to show the old paths of practical Christianity to people in the contemporary world, not only by teaching and evangelism, but also by walking in it in holiness of life and words.
